'Michael Collins'

Fateful words on a fateful day.

This piece was made to commemorate the 100th Anniversary of the death of Michael Collins.

On the morning of the 22nd August 1922, he commented, in that mordant wit of his, “Yerra, they’ll never shoot me in my own county”, just before leaving to face his fate at Beal Na mBlath that day.

Poignant historical words forever immortalised in Porcelain.

Framed in 10 x 15 cm white wooden frame.
